Vandavid Vernon

After serving 10 years for the United States Navy as an Operation Specialist, Vandavid Vernon returned home to Spartanburg, SC by way of Greenville, SC in 2009. Once home, he served in the US Navy Reserve for 7 years. Vandavid realized his passion for helping those who served was overwhelming to the point of creating an organization: “Let’s Talk Face2Face” to recognize the needs of those military veterans and family members transitioning from the military by sitting down face to face and knee to knee with those serving, and who have served. This transformed into the Nonprofit 501c3 “Vernon Veteran Services Inc.” in 2019. Gaining support and partnerships with local veteran owned businesses and veteran organizations allowed Vandavid to grow and help those veterans in need locally and nationally with the resources and suport they need while also providing 1:1 counseling and mentoring. Vandavid has a passion and heart for those battling PTSD, Anxiety, and Depression. His mantra has always been, “Everyone has been in the hole, all it takes is someone to jump in with you who has been there and who knows how to get out!”
